You’ve got Q’s? We’ve got A’s!

  • You can find a list of our recommendations here.

Please keep in mind that December is an extremely popular time of year in Cartagena and accomodations will fill up quickly. Book in advance!

If you feel inclined to choose your own adventure, we suggest staying within the walls of the Old City. All of our wedding events will take place here!

  • No pressure to arrive prior to the day of the main event. The welcome party is Friday evening.

If you arrive earlier to explore the city, check out our recommendations here!

  • December is the start of Cartagena’s summer! Average high of 88ºF and low of 76ºF.

  • Welcome Party - Summer weather calls for summer whites. Please wear white, neutrals, or something along those lines. If this doesn’t sound like anything in your closet, wear whatever screams summer to you!
Women must wear flat or platform footwear on the catamaran!

Wedding - Tropical cocktail = colorful, floral, beachy, vibrant. Have fun with it! Something amazing you’ve been dying to wear? Now is the time to shine.
Most of all, we want everyone to be comfortable. It will be HOT hot—no ties needed, linen and light fabrics encouraged.

  • We will be including a few Colombian traditions at our wedding—

La Hora Loca - translates directly to The Crazy Hour. Serves a a transition between reception and “after party” (all will take place at Casa 1537) to reinvigorate the party. Be prepared for dancers, live drummers, party props, beat drops, and to stay up way past your bedtime.

Mulatas - Post-ceremony and pre-cocktail hour, it is a tradition in Cartagena to bring the festivities to the surrounding street. Upon completion of the ceremony, we will be led by Mulatas (traditional Colombian dancers) to the street directly outside the venue, where we will follow them as they dance down the street in celebration of our marriage.
Please be mindful of the heat and walking involved, feel free to stay at Casa 1537 during this time!
